2 Legit 2 Quit

This is the design that I came up with for some new business cards that I ordered. They just came in this week and I think that they look pretty awesome. I will be bringing them with me to the idea camp as well.

What do you think?

God is 4 Real

This past Sunday was awesome. It was the start of the Epic Youth Sunday service at Sunridge community church.

For the past couple of years, after a church split at Sunriege, Epic has not had the kind of numbers that our youth group has had in the past. It has made for less of a community enviornment in the group. Not to say that numbers are the only reason we have had this problem but it has been one of the main stuggles.

However, this Sunday was a clear act of God as over 75 people showed up. The coolest thing was that the majority of the extra people that came were new and had not been there before or at least in a long time. I met some pretty cool people and God was apparent the whole morning. He showed me that He is with me and our youth group even though the past couple of years have been hard.

Thank you Lord.

Epic Youth

Hey everyone. I have once again got caught up in my crazy life of school and work.

I actually had a good reason this time though.

At Sunridge Community Church, we have a youth ministry called Epic. Mynor, the high school pastor, and I have been talking about getting a website goin for the group ever since he came on board. I spent some time creatin one.

Check it out at epicscc.org

Let me know what you think.

Do you know of any other SoCal youth group websites?

Rick Reilly is My Hero

I just discovered Rick Reilly a couple of months ago, when I stumbled upon an old book that my dad had in his "library".  He is by far my favorite sports writer.  He has some strong opinions, which I don't usually like in a writer, but I have enjoyed almost every article that he has written.  My favorite is the one about Nike.

Today I was clickin around espn.com, when I came across this new "blog" that he is starting.  It is title "Rick Reilly: Go Fish" and I am super pumped to start reading it.

Check it out!

Just Curious.

I was just wondering if any of my readers know of another pastors kid (PK) that has a blog.  I have been looking to see if there are any out there and I haven't been very successful.  I kinda want to see what they have to say about that church from their perspective.

If you know of any, let me know.

Ducks vs. Red Wings

I have 2 favorite things to do in life.  One is to play hockey and one is to go watch my Ducks.  This is the second year in a row that my friend and I have gone to see them play the Red Wings.  This is always a great game to see because of the rivalry that we have with each other.  I would have to say that the Red Wings are me second least favorite team in the NHL second only to the Kings.  I would have loved to to the Ducks kill the Wings.  It looked like we had a pretty good shot at doing that all the way up until half way into the third period.  We still had a chance after that but we just couldn't pull it out.

My friend and I are going to go to this game every year for as long as I live in Cali.
Had a great time and I can't wait until next year.

Have any of you been to a hockey game?

Don't Touch Those Peanut Butter Crackers

I would usually not care much about a story like this one, but this actually has an impact on my life.  I have eaten these delicious crackers everyday at school for lunch for the last 2 years.  I am pretty much obsessed with em.  Today I heard that they had been giving people salmonella poisoning.  I am like really depressed about this.  Today, I wasn't able to have them and I had to go home from school early because I didn't feel good.  I know that it was because I didn't have my peanut butter crackers.  I hope that I can get a replacement for the Kellog crackers soon or I will not be the same person ever again.

Do any of you have an obsession that was taken away from you suddenly and caused you to have problems living your life like you normally do?

Now in the 17th Year of my Fantastic Life

Last Thursday, the 18th, was my birthday. I am only one year away from becoming an adult. That is kind of wired. Anyways, I had a great day filled with birthday wishes. On Friday, I had a party at my house with 12 of my friends. We had fun just hangin out. After a while, we decided to go to the church parking lot to play hide and go seek. By far the best time that I have ever had at church. It was intense! We went back to the house and sat around the fire pit for a while. We took some pictures by the fire that turned out really cool.

Also, I got the thing that I have been waiting for. My iPod touch arrived. In fact, this post is coming to you directly from my iPod. It is by far the best thing that I have ever got on my birthday.

Thanks everyone for wishing me a happy birthday on the 18th.

When there is no time to breathe...

... there is no time for blogging. I have found it hard to post things on my blog ever since I began participating in the blogging world. Even though I have absolutley no time, I will not give up on seansid.com. I have had a great time sharing my thoughts (rarely) with new people and I really hope that I get somemore readers. I know that the lack of posts does not help me gain anymore readers.

If there is any advice that you have for me, please share.

Thanksgiving

I have always loved Thanksgiving.  It is a time when family comes together to fill there stomachs with food that is only served on day a year.  It is a time when football is on TV all day, just like a Sunday.  A time where you can watch the Lions lose and and the Cowboys win.  This year, we even get to watch the Cardinals win.  Thanksgiving is when the chips and dip are at my disposal all day long.  When all the girls are in the kitchen all morning and afternoon, preparing the food that we will all devour between the 1:00 and 5:00 football games.

I am just happy right now and you should be too.

Have a great Thanksgiving!

RK on All About Worship

Our worship leader was interviewed on All About Worship.

You can check out the interview here.

**Rich, I was kind of hoping for a plug to seansid.com at the "new generation" part of the conversation.  I'll forgive you though.
